someone asked me to design a new business card for their friend who lives in arizona as their christmas present to them. Apparently their last one was pretty plain and she wanted to get something more artistic and organic for her profession.

Tiger Print

This is another painting I did not too long ago for my boyfriend's house warming present. He's a big mizzou fan and I love tiger projects.

So youre running a marathon

Yes, yes I am. My second in fact. But I have some newbies with me this time. So I decided to make them little survival kits.

My Friend Sarah (left) is only doing the half, so she doesn't need as much. But she has some jolly ranchers which i found helpful during my first marathon. A little soundtrack of inspiration songs. And then a little brochure of tips and race day checklist.

JR, my little friend in green is running the full marathon with me. His first. So along with jolly ranchers, a soundtrack, and racing tips, I got him socks, gloves, a beanie, vaseline, chapstick, some marathon snicker bars, and some tissues.

Only a few months till the big day. December 1st in Memphis. I'm just excited to drink the pain away post marathon on Beale street!

So Your Friends Break-up

Well you have to pick sides, right? One of my best friends Adrienne had been dating this guy nicknamed Ritter on and off for about a year and a half. They finally decided to split ways for good. The problem being that everyone had grown attached to Ritter. So I designed these tshirts for our friends to wear to ultimately embarrass Adrienne.

At least she found it humorous.

So what does a graphic designer with a slight obsession with celebrity gossip go as for halloween?

a magazine layout and design!

Complete with celebrity humor (and subscription card).

I heard that Britney Spears was a popular costume this year, so I thought "what would be one step beyond that?" The answer had everyone laughing at the costume party I went to.

so you think you can sew

This was my boyfriend's idea so I have to give him credit. Otherwise, I would have never tried to put this together. I actually cut out all the pieces to the mizzou logo and •using a sewing machine and the patience of buddha• carefully sewed them to a black canvus fabric mapping out a tailgating tiger flag masterpiece, that flies like a champ. Used at 4 football games thus far with one more to go. GO TIGERS!

twenty-three: a birthday to be proud of?

I know this is late, but blogging is a new thing for me (so is cleaning/organizing my desktop). The lovely invite ubove was created for my birthday festivities this past summer. 23, too old to celebrate anything cool. Too young to worry about being too old yet. thats my motto.

So I Paint.

So this is kind of lame, but painting really is one of my greatest loves in life. I just like the feeling of passing time with a brush in my hand. This is a mural I did for my old High school of the glorious mascot. (you'll see my obsession with tigers grow from here, but I was a tiger in high school and college so –once a tiger, always a tiger).
