things lately...

Things have been a little crazy with the holidays and new year coming up. But here are a few things I've been up to that are not work related.

Hanging with MaLady and Ugly Sweater Parties.

Found this at the Marketplace for only $5.
Thinking about fixing it up a bit.
But checkers are fun :)

Also found a bunch of cute frames at the Market Place in Columbia.
I freaking LOVE that place. Its a giant indoor flea market. So much amazing finds :)

and then of course, baking cookies and getting fat.
Homemade sugar cookies and icing.

Cookies: 1cup butter, 2/3cup sugar, 1 egg,
1tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 1/2cup flour

Icing: 3/4cup powered sugar, 1tb butter,
1tb milk, 1/2tsp vanilla, 1/4tsp lemon juice.

Bake cookies at 350° for 8-10 minutes.
Frost with icing when cool. Mmmmm...

These are just a few things I've been doing in the meantime. Been hanging out indoors a lot due to freezing weather and icy roads. Game nights have become a recurring activity with friends.

Started working on a list of resolutions for the new year.
Definitely looking forward to 2011 and all it has to offer.

My sister is graduating from college today!
My how time flies. I feel like it was just yesterday, it was me taking the plunge into adulthood.
